Great App!

I have used this app many times to clean up old photographs, and it has always done a fantastic job. I am always amazed at how much better they look after a little work with SnapHeal.

Brilliant

I am trying to learn Photoshop which is an amazing program but I can’t believe what this program can do and what I can do with it! So glad I found it and I’ve already fixed up so many of my photos. This is a great program and worth the money!

Uses notifications for ads.

I wasn’t even using the app (and hadn’t in awhile) and there was a pop-up notification that asked me to review the app. Quickest way to a one star rating is to throw an intrusive ad into a paid app.

Works great for me…quicker than Lr

I have Lightroom and Aperture, but I needed something just to do quick fixes like remove a shadow from a picture or a power line, This does the job easily without going into Lightroom for simple fixes. I recommend it highly.

Superior App

This app is unbelievable. It is incredibly easy to learn, and it does not take too long to edit photos. I have used this for so many things. You can use it to remove things from the background of an image, smooth out an image’s surface, remove shadows, duplicate things in photos, and more.

It;s OK but….

I wanted to remove a person that was in the background of a photo of my parents. All I managed to do was create a “blob” in the middle where the person was. Tech Support magnificently helped out with cleaning up the “blob”. Another issue was the “cleaned up” photo could only be saved in a smaller size jpg file. But I was able to change that using Adobe Acrobat. I’ve tried removing unwanted objects or persons on other photos and the App does works. Note only if the objects or persons you want to remove from a photo are far from the object or person(s) you want to keep in the photo, then the App works; if they’re too close, then you will get the dreaded “blob”.

Greag!

Easy to use, and makes ANY picture look better - try it, you’ll love it!

Works, but not perfectly

As some have mentioned in other reviews, removing objects may leave a dreaded blob instead of a blended omission. Lot’s of trial and error to get this perfect. As with all MacPhun products, there is ZERO support for uploading photos directly from the new Photos app. Instead, you are stuck copying the photo, pasting to the desktop or other location and then dragging the file into Snapheal. I absolutely hate this. If the app says “drag and drop a file”, I should be able to drag and drop directly from Photos. Or if an app says “Load/Import an Image”, I should be able to do that directly from Finder…NOT with some workaround. Overall, the app does work in most cases. As with all MacPhun photo editing apps, there is redundancy of the editing tools among the different apps. I purchased three of them, and really you could get away with just one. SnapHeal would be that one.

Best photo app of the lot. Farewell photoshop elements!

Essential

I almost never submit reviews but this app is so exceptional I just had to doit. I have used many erasers, cloning tools repair tools; etc, and this is the best that I’ve seen. I use it at the front end of my work flow and it has worked flawlessly so far (3 months). I have used it almost exclusively on landscapes and macro shots so I can’t comment on other genre. It is very effective and ridiculously easy to use.

Good, but new marketing tactics tarnish user experience

Used to be an excellent app, in line with older Macphun standards of good functionality and price. Now, every time you launch it, you will get nag windows and mind-numbing plugs for other Macphun products. No way of disabling this constant poking. The marketing push indicates $ comes before users. The app itself is OK and does what it says , but I’ve ditched it (and the other Macphun products) until they put out a version without nag-ware. "Pay to be annoyed”, what an advanced concept...

Very good

Snapheal is easy to use and does an effective job of erasing most everything. I do mostly nature/animal shots and it is excellent at removing unwanted objects. Only cons Ive encountered have been with eyes and have had some trouble with animal faces where there is a lot of contrast. Other than that I rate this program extremely high.

Snapheal was great, now freezing

Yes a couple of years ago I purchased Snapheal for some easy photo editing. It worked well, even through the change from Snow Leopard to Mavericks. Withing the last few months , it will do exactly ZIPPO. The slightest attempt to use the clone tool or anything else causes the app to freeze, with the “Spinning Wheel of Death”. No amount of restarting will fix it. You must force quit to get out . I would love to continue to use it, but 2.7 is a big 0.0 for me. Any ideas would be helpful. What a shame.

Slow Mac

I really lovev this App, I’ve been using it dfor a while now, but recently it seems to me that it’s making my Mac run slowly, maybe I’m wrong, but when I quit the proggram the Mac runs great!!

Snapheal just shows a blank image after importing a jpg

The app doesn’t work for me at all, since I am unable to import an image. I have tried two different jpg files which I have exported from Photos. I can open each of these files; however when I try to open them in Snapheal, all I get is a blank image. I went to the web site for help, but didn’t find any. I can’t believe I paid $12.99 for this!

Amazing Ap, just what I was looking for!

I was looking for an ap to do some quick touchups to pictures that was high quality but at the same time easy to use. This product was it! It did professional quality edits with very little mouse stroked. I have not been able to produce edits like this unless I worked in photoshop and took much more time the a click, click go! Thanks for the quality you put into this ap!

Difficult to use - Does not do what it says

I have found this app very difficult to use. The instructions are not easy to follow. It tells you to do things like set something, but does not provide a menu option like that. I have used photoshop CS4 successfully and found that the default choices of shape shift, wormhole, and twister are not at all helpful unless you are trying to create a distorted view. They do not remove anything even though they are the only choices in the “erase” category. I also found that when I would click on the suggested tips all I got was an attempt to sell me other Mcphun programs. I will not be buying any of them because of the poor performance of this product. And where are the instructions? Certainly not under help. That also tries to sell you additional programs. One star is probably too high for this program.

Does the job, and quite well too

It does a great job at removing small blemishes and blending the surrounding scenery into the erasure. I’ve been able to remove a lot of imperfections in my photographs (e.g. stray branches on the edges of my frames, the occasional dust spot, etc.) using this tool.

This app is great!

This app is great! I am not a very technical person. I was at the point in my photography where my lack of post editing skills was holding me back and I knew I had to invest in an editing app and take a class when I found out about the MacPhun apps. I now have them all and I didn’t have to take a class. Snapheal is amazing. It is so easy to remove things you don’t want in your photo and the photo looks great afterwards, no telltale signs you removed anything. I can’t believe how easy it is, so user friendly. No long classes to take and no big expenses. It is incredibly reasonable for what you get. I would have expected to pay a lot more for this app. Experiment with this and you will be amazed at all it can do. I have all of the MacPhun editing apps now and they are all great and do their jobs incredibly well and with ease. Of course you always want to take the best photo you can to begin with, check your background, edges etc. You don’t want to become lazy and let MacPhun do all the work. There are times though when this app has saved an otherwise great photo save some unwanted object or photobomb. If you are so inclined you can also get creative and have some real fun with the clone tool.

Photo Wizardry

I am computer illiterate but now with Snapheal I can erase, clone, and recreate!Too much fun!!!!
